What We Do at Teams Life Centre

As a Gateshead Family Hub, we are able to provide the following children’s activities on a weekly basis:-

• Boxing skills  Monday evenings  ages 7-14 years

• Cornerstone Club Wednesday Evening ages 5- 12years 

• Football skills Friday evenings ages 5-10 and 11-16 years
• School holiday Multisports 4 hour programme (see Facebook page ‘Teams Life Centre’)

Food and music is a great combination!  Our popular music events are as follows:-

• Musical Café every Wednesday with live music and good food

• Disability discos on Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons

• Learn to play the Ukelele every Wednesday just before the Musical Café (ukelele provided!)

Our large sports hall is great for football, special events and group sessions.  Thank you to Sport England Funding  and Cricket Qube we have increased the number of activities  as follows:-

• Dancercise     Saturday morning fun for ladies!

• Line dancing  Monday morning mixed class

• Cricket for women and girls Tuesday evening

• Pilates Friday morning mixed class

Top quality food and drink at affordable prices.

Our Community Cafe has a 5-star hygiene rating and is staffed by a team of hardworking volunteers who have 20 years catering experience between them. We serve a selection of hot and cold drinks, snack and full dinners from a menu changed daily. Our cafe staff are DBS and food hygene cleared.

Why not pop in for a cuppa, snack or full dinner? We serve tea, coffee and cold drinks. We offer a full range of sandwiches, biscuits and confectionery.

Our “New2You” Community Charity Shop is a valued asset to our centre. Why not come and have a look in our New2You charity shop?

All proceeds are reinvested back into teams Life Centre to further our community projects, including kids activities.

We believe sitting with likeminded people with a cuppa is a great way to start any type of support, so we have the following on a weekly basis:-

• Christian support group every Monday afternoon

• Advance Mens group every Tuesday afternoon

• Friendship and walking group Thursday lunchtime

• Tea and Toast just before the Bread and Butter thing every Friday

• Eritrean Support group every Saturday evening

Within the building we offer:

• A large sports hall
• A creche and play area
• A well stocked cafe, open daily
• A community space, providing weekly music sessions and singalongs
• Several rooms of different sizes and configuration possibilities

Teams Life Centre have free access to WIFI, laptops for use free of charge and IT training courses and facilities. There is always someone here to help access the information and support you need.
We also have ‘hot desk’ facilities for local community workers and meeting facilities
